JobTraQ X5 to X6 Workflow Software Transition Plan

Swift Software’s original plan for upgrading JobTraQ X5 customers to X6 and the new visual workflow system was to automatically convert the existing workflow rules into single step processes in the new system. But because each X5 workflow rule was independent, there was no way to create a visual version of the system-wide process that those rules represented. Customers who previewed the new visual workflow designer asked us why we wanted to automatically upgrade their old workflow rules into mini-processes instead of allowing them to use the new system as an opportunity to clean up and streamline their current systems... 2013 JobTraQ Customer Conference

Attendees received JobTraQ administration training, security recommendations, sneak previews of upcoming features, and face-to-face conversations with several members of our programming team. The customers who attended had such a great time that within a week we received several emails asking when the next event would be. That question has come up repeatedly since then. We did not have time to do a conference in 2012 because of our office move at the end of the summer, but we have begun setting up an... Read More »

JobTraQ Feature Spotlight: Dynamic Links and Embedded Pages

What are dynamic links and embedded pages? Two of the most useful integration features in JobTraQ’s lean BPM software are embedded pages and dynamic links. Embedded pages allow administrators to display a web application inside a task form or contact form. Dynamic links are also placed in a task form, and when a user clicks on one, a web application or web page is loaded in a popup window. Both embedded pages and dynamic links can pass information from the JobTraQ task to the external application, which allows administrators to create very complex and useful interactions between JobTraQ and outside...
