Swift Software is a growing product-centered technology company seeking talented and customer-focused developers to join our professional services team in Frederick, Maryland.

You will work with our mid-market and enterprise customers and our business analysts to design and implement software solutions that build on the capabilities of JobTraQ, our powerful task management product. Our implementation and customization projects are usually one week to two months long, so you’ll enjoy a wide range of work on interesting problems for clients in many regions and industries. Recent projects have included a touchscreen system for warehouse tracking, integration with accounting systems, complex custom finance and billing reports, and automatic data synchronization.

To qualify for this position, you should have at least two years of experience developing and testing applications in ASP.NET and C# (or similar platforms) with complex JavaScript and CSS elements, and at least two years of experience in SQL database development. Most importantly, you should have excellent written and spoken communication skills, because you will be “the face of the company” for all the customers you work with. Strong documentation and operational handoff skills are also required.

Because this job requires tight integration with our team, you must be able to work in our office in Frederick, MD. The job also requires you to travel about 10% of the time, primarily for customer kickoff meetings and discovery work.

This position will report directly to the department’s Director of Operations, will work closely with our business analysts, and will participate in our profit sharing plan to reward teams who deliver excellent service and performance to our clients.

  • Able to quickly understand customer requirements, identify gaps, and work with stakeholders to design robust solutions.
  • Strong customer focus, responsive communication skills, and good post-project follow-up.
  • Previous experience with business process design and implementation.
  • Previous experience troubleshooting complex systems with many moving parts.
  • Previous experience with user interface design.
  • Previous experience with business intelligence/reporting.
