Installation: JobTraQ System Requirements

The following is a basic set of minimum requirements for the JobTraQ server system. A more advanced coverage of the topic and a checklist is available in the support document

Server Software

Recommended Operating Systems

• Windows 2000 Server
• Windows Server 2003

Supported Operating Systems

• Windows 2000 Professional
• Windows XP Professional

Swift Software suggests that Professional editions of the Windows operating system be used for evaluation or small offices only. The server operating systems are designed to handle more users and larger environments.

Other Required Server Software

• IIS 5.0 or later
• SQL Server 2000 SP4, 2005, or 2008

Note that IIS and SQL Server are not required to be on the same server.

Client Software

JobTraQ is compatible with any of the following web browsers. The computer's operating system does not matter.

• Internet Explorer 5.5 or later
• Firefox 1.5 or later
• Netscape 6 or later
• Safari 3 or later

Recommended Hardware

• Dual- or quad-core server CPU
• 10GB available disk space (or more)
• 2GB RAM (or more)

Recommended Configuration

Enterprise systems supporting many simultaneous users may wish to contact support for advice on server requirements based on expected loads.
