Installation: JobTraQ System Requirements

The following is a basic set of minimum requirements for the JobTraQ server system. A more advanced coverage of the topic and a checklist is available in the JobTraQ Installation Requirements Checklist support document.

Server Software

Recommended Operating Systems

Windows 2000 Server
Windows Server 2003
Windows Server 2008
Windows Server 2008 R2

Supported Operating Systems

Windows XP Professional
Windows Vista
Windows 7

Swift Software suggests that the desktop editions of Windows be used for evaluation only. Server operating systems are designed to handle more users and larger environments.

Other Required Server Software

IIS 5.0 or later (For IIS 7, the IIS 6 Management Compatibility components must be installed)
.NET Framework 3.5 or later
SQL Server 2005 or 2008

Note that IIS and SQL Server are not required to be on the same server.

Recommended Server Hardware

Dual- or quad-core server CPU
10GB available disk space (or more)
4GB RAM (or more)

Enterprise systems supporting many simultaneous users may wish to contact support for advice on server requirements based on expected loads.

Client Software

JobTraQ is compatible with any of the following web browsers. The computer’s operating system does not matter.

Firefox 2 or later
Safari 3 or later
Chrome 4 or later
